Oxford Room at the Top is up the hill from Oxford, England’s historic and most beautiful university town, in the (even older) village of Headington. It is a comfortable, safe, quiet 1930s house in its own garden.

All rooms have bright windows, central heating, desk, hanging space, drawers or shelves, bedside reading lamp(s), free wireless internet, TV, linen and towels, hair-dryer, shampoo.

Share the big kitchen / dining area and the living room. Use the washing machine and iron, toys and board games, and the garden.

This is a no-smoking, no-pets house.

Children welcome.

A five-minute walk to bus stops. Centre of Oxford (10-15 minutes) every 5 minutes. Centre of London (1.5 hours), or the London airports (Heathrow 1.5 hours, Gatwick 2-2.5 hours), every half hour.

Or borrow one of our bicycles and cycle to town and into the countryside.

Free parking on the street with my permit.

About me

I’m a teacher (special needs, elementary maths and literacy, and English as an additional language - I can teach guests by arrangement).

My three grown-up children have moved away, so now I have more space for visitors.

Come and stay. Welcome in advance!
